Universal Studios Hollywood To Close Jurassic Park: The Ride on Sep 3, 2018 Most Likely for Jurassic World

OK, looks like we are still batting a thousand here at Theme Park University.  As it turns out, Inside Universal is reporting that Jurassic Park: The Ride will be closing for extensive refurbishment on September 3, 2018.  Now, this is not a surprise to us here at TPU, who correctly predicted that theme park patrons would be able to get their last rides in on Jurassic Park: The Ride during the Summer of 2018.  What’s coming? Well, Universal Studios Hollywood hasn’t officially said, but there is no question it will be an updated version of the same ride themed to Jurassic World.

Now while the above logo is far from official, nor has anything been confirmed by Universal, we expect this announcement to be made within the next two weeks.  What do we think the ride will be like? Scene for scene, we break it down in this article. More importantly, will a Jurassic World ride be headed to Islands of Adventure in Florida?

As of right now? No. There are no signs of the Florida version of this particular attraction getting a Jurassic World update for the foreseeable future. However, that doesn’t mean Jurassic Park in Islands of Adventure won’t be receiving some new dinos and a new attraction within the land. However, the boat ride is scheduled to remain untouched for now. Your thoughts?
