Yet again, we are seeing Universal Orlando pivot from their normal seasonal offerings to a modified version this holiday season. They have officially canceled the Grinchmas Spectacular as well as several other usual holiday offerings.

Instead, the Who’s of Whoville will be doing their usual antics (though socially distanced) throughout Seuss Landing during the holiday season. Their interactions with guests are some of the best entertainment you can find this holiday season. In addition, the Grinch will also be sneaking around the land doing socially distanced selfies.

In addition, the holiday parade at Universal Studios Florida will not be performed as usual during the 2020 holiday season. Instead, there will be smaller floats and characters randomly dispatched throughout the day. This is similar to how Universal handles their current afternoon parade now.
In addition, Universal will be opening up some of their soundstages where you will be able to walk around some of the balloons and floats from the holiday parade where you’ll get to see them up close.

“The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” has also been cancelled for the 2020 holiday season. This projection show packed in guests like sardines in a space that was never designed for massive crowds. Obviously, this had to be cut from the 2020 season as well.
Luckily, the Wizarding World is adorned in holiday decorations and they are doing seasonal versions of their live performances. At this point, we are thrilled to have some holiday entertainment this season. It’s greatly needed in the Orlando area.
