Dollywood Prepares for Fall 2016

No matter how many parks I’ve visited around the world, none come close to the jaw dropping beauty of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

I recently got a chance to visit Dollywood for the first time in several years.  The park is preparing for its Harvest Celebration and it looks amazing.

Scattered around the main entrance area are these pumpkin characters, all getting ready for the festival.

As luck would have it, the park was extremely slow on the day of my visit, which was great.  On the down side, Lightning Rod is still going through some growing pains and was down for the day.

On the plus side, I got to explore the park at a much slower pace and really got a chance to admire how incredible this park truly is. We will be examining the great heritage of this park in future articles! If you’ve never been to Dollywood, you must add it to your theme park bucket list.  It has to be seen to be believed.
