5 Reasons To Attend The IAAPA Expo This Year

IAAPA Expo is the must-attend, premier event for anyone in the leisure and attractions industry. From new products, cutting-edge services, powerful education sessions, and a plethora of networking opportunities, the options at IAPPA are endless. To help you out, we’ve compiled a list of five key things you don’t want to miss.

1. Attend Engaging Educational Sessions

There are more than 90 educational sessions available for IAAPA attendees to partake in this year. Designed specifically for professionals from amusement and theme parks, family entertainment centers, museums, water parks, and zoos – the Education Conference program will run from November 15-18. Education sessions led by industry leaders are a great opportunity for attendees to grow their business in a post-COVID-19 world and develop new ideas. Here are just a few of the sessions we are most excited about:

CEO Speaks: Tuesday, Nov. 16, 4-5:30 p.m.

CEO Speaks gives attendees unique access to three of today’s most influential leaders in the attractions business. Audience members will get to listen in on a casual, unrehearsed conversation that will touch on topics such as what it takes to be successful in the industry of fun, maintaining focus on priorities, and building a company and culture that lasts into the future.

Ultra-Accessible: The Morgan’s Wonderland Difference: Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Morgan’s Wonderland has brought its mission of inclusion to life in its everyday operations by creating Ultra-Accessible attractions and eliminating barriers traditionally seen in the community. Learn how this unique park brings together those with and without disabilities in a safe, colorful, uplifting environment, where the common element of play leads to fun and a better understanding of one another.

Responsive Marketing in Dynamic Times: Monday, Nov. 15, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Join marketing professionals as they share their experiences overcoming external events that forced immediate course corrections and how they maintained their authentic brand and messaging standards.

2. Run for the Kids in the Footprints from the Heart 5k Run

IAPPA will be hosting two charity events that will raise funds for Give Kids the World Village – a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides cost-free vacations to critically ill children and their families. New for this year, is the Footprints from the Heart 5k Run/1 Mile Walk. The event will take place at SeaWorld Orlando on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 7-9 a.m. Participants will experience the sights and sounds of SeaWorld as they run and walk through the park before it opens. Runners can register as individuals or teams.

3. Get Exclusive Access to Central Florida Attractions Through EDUTours

IAPPA EXPO EDUTours give members the opportunity to explore a variety of attractions across Central Florida, including Fun Spot America and SeaWorld. From guided behind-the-scenes tours to presentations from attractions professionals, participants can see how facilities create memorable guest experiences while discovering the industry’s latest developments.
