The battle between Actors Equity Association and Walt Disney World has come to an end. For months, the sticking point has been that the company provide COVID-19 testing for actors and singers who are asked to perform without a mask at various Walt Disney World shows. The question is, will actors return to Walt Disney

Should “Face Characters” Wear A Mask At Disney Parks?

Surely I am not the only one who has noticed this. As Disney Parks have reopened around the world, they’ve gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of their guests and cast members. They’ve added many new safety procedures such as new cleaning protocols, social distancing markers and enforcing all guests and employees to

Why Rebranding Splash Mountain to “Princess and the Frog” is Brilliant for Disney

Earlier, Disney officially announced that they are changing the theme of Splash Mountain from Song of the South to a Princess and The Frog makeover. As usual, all Disney fans are welcoming the changes with open arms. It’s great to see how no matter where everyone is from or where they stand on certain issues:

5 Things You Have to Keep in Mind As Theme Parks Reopen

I can’t think of a more complicated business to reopen than a theme park during these difficult times. No matter where you sit on the staying closed vs. reopening everything bandwagon, the public perception is what matters. Those waters are murky right now. Movie theaters, restaurants, retail locations: they can all follow each other’s lead

90 Minute Space Mountain Documentary Released

Have you been enjoying The Imagineering Story on Disney Plus? Me too. While the six part series was a fascinating peek behind the curtain, it wasn’t exactly a deep dive into a particular attraction’s history. On the other hand, Martin Smith just released a 90-minute Space Mountain documentary and it’s just the deep dive I’ve

Footage From Disney’s Alien Encounter Resurfaces in new Video

Disney’s Alien Encounter has one of my favorite evolution stories of any attraction ever built. Originally intended to feature a creature from the movie “Alien” starring Sigourney Weaver, the attraction even was slated for Disneyland at one point in it’s development stages instead of Walt Disney World. One of my favorite parts of the development

Tip Yip or Chicken: A Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Menu Story

How far can you push immersion in a modern theme park? That is the question Walt Disney World is currently trying to answer. When it opened Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Docking Bay 7 opened with all kinds of “exotic” foods like Tip Yip, Kaadu and Burra Fish. After all, if we

Cast of Comedy Warehouse Return to New Show on International Drive in Orlando

Thanks to the express consent of the commissioner of baseball, the cast of Pleasure Island’s Comedy Warehouse is back in Orlando performing improv! Personally, out of anything that I miss at Pleasure Island, Comedy Warehouse was the top of that list. To be fair, those talented performers from the Pleasure Island days of Walt Disney

4 Changes We Hope Disney Implements After Evacuating The Disney Skyliner

By now you’ve probably heard that the Disney Skyliner was evacuated on October 5, 2019. As I type this, crews are working on getting guests down from their gondolas one at a time. Some have been trapped up there for hours. If there is any sort of “good news” to come from this? There hasn’t

BREAKING: Mary Poppins Confirmed for England in Epcot’s World Showcase

In a surprise move, it seems that World Showcase in Epcot is getting a new Mary Poppins attraction! While details are sparse at this point, we do know that the backside of the England pavilion in World Showcase will be transformed into Cherry Tree Lane. A no brainer, that could have been done years ago.
