Soaking In The Views From Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

This year we took another trip to Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It still remains our favorite attraction to visit while in the Great Smokey Mountains and from the pictures you’ll see in this post, you can quickly figure out why!

Anakeesta, the attraction, is named after the mountain upon which it sits. Guests take “chondolas” (a word combining chair and gondola” to the top of the mountain where you can take in some breathtaking views.

Most notably, new for 2017 is the Cliff Top Grill and Bar. An open-air bar and restaurant featuring drinks and small bites from nachos, to sandwiches and even cheese curds!

Regardless of what you get, the views of the Great Smokey Mountains and downtown Gatlinburg are jaw-dropping.  This restaurant alone is enough reason to keep me coming back.

Another reason? Rail Runner. A new alpine-coaster opening December 2018. The coaster was being tested and worked in during my visit, but I can’t wait to give it a try the next time I am in town.

Also new for 2018 is Vista Gardens. An expanded walk-through offering views of Anakeesta mountain with some unique and imaginative gardens sprinkled throughout.

Naturally, we had to visit the canopy walk before we left. Our views were right at sunset and the pictures we took couldn’t have turned out more perfect!

Many thanks to the team at Anakeesta for the visit. If you’d like to learn more about Anakeesta and all of their attractions in Gatlinburg, Tennessee follow this link!
