Kind Heaven – New Immersive Project in Las Vegas Combining Immersive Theater, Hollywood Artistry and Loads of Technology

A new form of immersive theater is headed to Las Vegas in a big way. What may be the largest budget for a new immersive-style project, “Kind Heaven” is a $100 million investment at The Linq promenade right on the Vegas strip. To my knowledge, this is the biggest immersive theater project to date and is slated to open August 2019.

Kind Heaven will take place inside a four-story building covering over 100,000 square-feet and is being headed by Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell. Best known as the frontman for rock band Jane’s Addiction, Farrell was quoted as saying, “I have had this secret for about five years. I couldn’t contain myself. I’m happy that it’s finally out.” This project is a collaboration between Immersive Artistry, Hollywood executive Cary Granat, visual effects Academy Award winner Ed Jones and Caesars Entertainment.

In total, there will be seven unique spaces located throughout Kind Heaven. Each one has unique, food, drink and entertainment reflective of Southeast Asia. During the day, the venue will be open to all ages and at night, space is dedicated to an adults only 21-and-up crowd.

Throughout Kind Heaven will be spaces where musical acts from SouthEast Asia can perform that have never been seen in the United States. Not only will some musical acts be live, some big names (who have yet to be announced) will appear alongside the live acts via holographic projections. On random unannounced occasions, the real artists will appear instead of their pre-recorded hologram representations.

Kind Heaven will feature all kinds of unique places to explore from a forest, to back alleyways and even a Southeastern Asian garden. Each space in the venue will have items available for purchase that include many brands that are currently only found in Asia and are new to the United States. All in all, this sounds like a promising project that I personally can’t wait to visit in the summer of 2019!
