Escape Room Near Disneyland Puts Players in Role of Slasher Film

I’ve done so many escape rooms now that many of the themes seem cliche. Mad scientist laboratories, bank heists and zombie outbreaks seem to be a dime a dozen. Whenever I hear of something new and truly outside the box, I get truly excited. Cross Roads Escape Game in Anaheim is opening a new escape game known as The Hex Room that gives players the opportunity to take on a specific role in a unique game format.

The premise is simple: horror-loving madman wants to recreate a horror film using you and your friends as his stereotypical characters! Each player will take a quiz before the game to find out which cliché character they are: the geek, virgin, jock, rebel, prom queen or detective.

Upon arrival, your team of six will be divided into separate rooms. Even though you might not see the rest of your group, you must work together in order to escape. Players have two possible outcomes: live or die. More importantly, this may be the only escape room where you can have a completely different time you visit based on the character you’ve choosen.
