“Curiosities” Immersive 1930’s Sideshow Opens in Brooklyn October 2017

While immersive theater continues to branch out, this one sounds particularly intriguing. Curiosities is a new immersive show in Brooklyn set in the 1930s sideshow. The creators of the experience refer to it as “a surreal, seductive and thrilling experience… full of bootleggers, deviants, performers, and misfits.”

Curiosities is being designed by some veterans in the world of immersive theater. It seems that they have designers and crew from shows such as Sleep No More, The Grand Paradise, Then She Fell, Seeing You, and Queen Of The Night on board.

Only 50 patrons are admitted to each performance of Curiosities per night and are encouraged to wear 1930s attire. Guests enter Professor Mysterium’s Menagerie of Wonder, a performance space for sideshow acts. From there, you can explore on your own throughout the space, follow the characters or just relax and watch the show. There is no wrong way to experience immersive theater and no two experiences are alike.

Tickets are already on sale for Curiosities and you can learn more by clicking this link.
