Brand New Simpsons Attractions Makes Debut

Roughly one month after the Disney/Fox merger has been officially completed, we have a new Simpsons attraction opening! The Simpsons in 4D is a totally new attraction featuring the gang from Springfield, which just opened at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The attraction takes place in a recreation of the Aztec theater from the show. This is actually two films that feature special effects including bouncy seats, wind, smoke and water.

The Simpsons in 4D was created in partnership with SimEx-Iwerks. They specialize in 3D/4D films that use chairs that are rigged with special effects. You’ve probably experienced them in many theme parks like Shrek 4-D at Universal Studios theme parks.

Speaking of Universal Parks, the new Simpsons attraction features a Kwik-E mart where guests can slurp Squish-e’s and munch on Lard Lad Donuts.

All tickets to The Simpsons in 4D come with a complimentary digital photo with Homer, Bart and the gang. You can even buy ticket bundles which include souvenir drinks from the Kwik-E Mart. For more information visit their website.
