Zombie Attractions Still Hot for 2015

Zombies just never die. It seems that the public can’t get enough of the undead. All over the world, there are new attractions being announced featuring flesh eaters. We start in Japan.

Biohazard The Real 3

For the third consecutive year, Universal Studios Japan has created an interactive walk-through attraction based on the Biohazard video game series (known as Resident Evil in the United States). With every year, USJ pluses Biohazard The Real  by adding new technology and new hardware.

In year one, guests were given a pistol. Year two? A shotgun. In the third year, behold the assault rifle with realistic firing action.

Even more impressive is a pair of glasses given to each participant which gives real time info on how their health is doing and how much ammunition they have left. Check out the video for more information.

Each Saturday in June, Zombie Joe’s Underground Theater is reprising its most famous show, Urban Death. It’s up-close, personal and uncomfortable and you can read more about it here.

Las Vegas recently opened the Zombie Apocalypse Experience where participants are given a .50 caliber paintball shotgun and enter four zones to “kill” as many of the undead as they can.

In total, the space you need to cover is massive – more than two football fields! Check out this link for more information.

For our last zombie attraction, we have the Zombie Blitz in London. The year is 1940 and your under aerial attack. You decide to duck into the tunnels underneath Waterloo to discover… you guessed it… an entirely new breed of zombies living underground. This is not a shoot-em-up style attraction, but rather, more immersive theater with characters you get to know and interact with. For more information, click here.
