Tomorrowland Speedway STAYING In the Magic Kingdom Despite Rumors

Isn’t the internet wonderful? A few days ago rumor leaked that a Tron coaster clone of Shanghai Disneyland was headed to the Magic Kingdom. And as we recently found out at the 2017 D23 Parks panel, they were right!

Pitchforks were at the ready for many and I’m sure there was some sort of silly petition started to #BringBackTheSpeedway. While that may be useful (yet ridiculous) for The Great Movie Ride and Universe of Energy, save those keystrokes for the Tomorrowland Speedway. As you can see in the artwork released by Disney above, the Speedway is still intact! And has a new layout! And just might end up with more fuel efficient vehicles by the time it reopens (if my sources are correct).

So while the internet mourns the loss of attractions that are beyond out of date, rest assured that the Tomorrowland Speedway will still exist, just in a slightly different form once the Tron coaster opens in 2021!
