New Epcot Brazil Pavilion to Be Announced at 2019 D23 Expo?

Something that has been speculated about for years may be announced at the D23 Expo Parks presentation. A new country has been teased, announced and rumored for Epcot even before opening day. However, we believe this time it’s actually happening with the announcement of a new Brazil pavilion.

Keep in mind, we aren’t pulling the idea of a new Epcot pavilion being announced out of thin air. D23 themselves is teasing the announcement of a new pavilion. The above image is from D23’s Instagram story on August 22, 2019, just a few days from the parks panel.

Keep in mind, they have already announced a new Moana attraction opening behind Spaceship Earth (and close to the Seas pavilion on Thursday. Thus, we know this isn’t the Journey of Water attraction that’s already been announced. Believe it or not, we are basing this on a single tweet that’s now been removed.

Mercyhurst Hospitality Management posted this tweet, which it later removed. As you can see, it lists an Imagineering intern named Nate who apparently told them he’s working to recruit people for the Brazilian pavilion when it opens at Epcot. A pavilion that isn’t even announced.

Which begs the question, why would they lie about this? Unless Nate was wrong or pulled this out of nowhere, then there has to be at least some kernel of truth here. Let’s find out on Sunday, shall we?
