10 Videos Showcasing How Shanghai Disneyland Could Be The Greatest Disney Park Ever Built

Without question, the theme park everyone will be talking about in 2016 is Shanghai Disneyland. Unlike Hong Kong Disneyland, which was clearly built on a conservative budget, Shanghai Disneyland looks to be the next greatest evolution in Disney theme parks. Here are 10 videos to prove my point all provided from our friends at Mousesteps.com and were shot at the D23 Expo in 2015.

#10 Pirates of the Caribbean Animatronic Testing

Between the detail on the figure and the animation, it’s fair to say that this version of Pirates might be the best we have ever seen, which is saying something.

#9 Tron Light Cycle Coaster

Designed as a family coaster with some of the coolest trains I have ever seen, I am truly excited to try this out.

#8 Peter Pan’s Flight

Considering they are developing a new ride system two rows of seats (like the one that is used in Disneyland Paris), that is exciting enough for me. Here is hoping they bring this to Disneyland and Walt Disney World some day to cut down on the wait and add much needed capacity.

#7 Treasure Cove

Treasure Cove may be the most detailed land out of any Disney park. Just the amount of work they are doing on the exterior of Pirates is incredible and looks like it will surpass what they did in Disneyland Paris by far.

#6 Tarzan Show

Despite having Tarzan shows previously in Animal Kingdom and Disneyland Paris, this looks to be more of a spectacular which even incorporates Chinese culture.

#5 Toy Story Hotel

A bold move to be sure. The Toy Story Hotel will be the firs time a Disney hotel is themed to just one movie. Clearly designed as a value resort, I am in love with the theming I have seen so far.

#4 Disneytown

Another first, Disneytown will be the first Downtown Disney district to feature a broadway play. The Lion King will debut in a permanent Broadway-style theater when the park opens.

#3 Mickey Avenue

While it may be common to you and me what the difference is between Disney, Warner Brothers and Dreamworks characters, Chinese audiences have often lumped them all together in one universe. While a change from the traditional Main Street, Mickey Avenue is a much needed change in Shanghai Disneyland.

#2 Tomorrowland

Considering Tomorrowland will also have a new version of Buzz Lightyear and a concert stage this version of Tomorrowland will be the most unique and dare I say it, most futuristic?

#1 Enchanted Storybook Castle

What looks to be an original Disneyland attraction on a larger scale, this attraction may be the most popular in the park considering the amount of movies represented and mass family appeal. Thanks again to Mousesteps.com for sharing these videos, all copyrights go to them!

Peter Pan ride shows two rows of one seat in each row. If they truly want to fix ride capacity, they need to have three seats per row and two rows.
