Christmas at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Is A Well Oiled Machine

After visiting dozens of dinner shows over the years, I can definitively say nothing tops Dolly Parton’s Stampede. Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee just down the street from Dollywood, I recently got a chance to see their Christmas show and can’t say enough good things about it. However, it’s probably not for the reasons you

Sally Corporation Teases New Ride Ahead of 2018 IAAPA Convention

Recently I got a mysterious package in the mail from Sally Corporation. For those unfamiliar, Sally Corporation is probably best known for designing and fabricating animatronic figures for theme parks like Universal and Six Flags. Recently, they are probably best known for Justice League: Battle for Metropolis interactive dark rides at Six Flags Parks around

Soaking In The Views From Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

This year we took another trip to Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It still remains our favorite attraction to visit while in the Great Smokey Mountains and from the pictures you’ll see in this post, you can quickly figure out why! Anakeesta, the attraction, is named after the mountain upon which it sits. Guests take “chondolas”

The Coaster at Goats on The Roof in Pigeon Forge – Worth The Trip

When it comes to attractions in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee there are literally dozens to choose from. Recently I got a chance to visit The Coaster at Goats on the Roof just down the road from Dollywood. Considering this was my first visit, I was skeptical about a roller coaster at a place that has literal

Year Round Winter Fun at Pigeon Forge Snow

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee isn’t exactly known for being a winter wonderland. Sure, they do one or two snowfalls a year. However, at best you could call them a “light dusting” that disappears in a matter of days, if not hours. Having snowball fights or going tubing down a hill is a rare occurrence. Until Pigeon

“NOIR: The 3D/4D Semi-Cinematic Satirical Thriller” Opens September 12!

Recently I learned about a new satirical theater show that not only pays tribute to theme parks but parodies it as well!  On September 12, 2018 Noir: The 3D/4D Semi-Cinematic Satirical Thriller opens at the Eagle Theater in Hammonton, New Jersey.  This completely original show will simulate a theme park 3D/4D experience in a regional

Brand New Simpsons 4D Attraction Headed to Myrtle Beach

Theme Park University reader Phillip writes in, “Hey dude, love your work as always. I haven’t seen anyone talking about The Simpsons 4D but was wondering if you could. Lost Attractions of Silver Springs Book Chronicles America’s Best Roadside Attraction

Long before the Mouse roared into Central Florida, one of America’s oldest and best attractions was Silver Springs, which is located just north of Orlando near Ocala, Florida. I have fond memories of visiting the attractions as a kid and recently got to relive them all over again. “The Lost Attractions of Silver Springs” by

Paranormal Cirque Leaves A Lot To Be Desired

On paper, this sounds like a great idea. Take a traditional circus and give it an adults-only horror/haunted house spin. That’s the premise of Cirque Italia’s brand new show known as Paranormal Cirque which recently had its grand opening in Palmetto, Florida just outside of Tampa. Unfortunately, the production needs a lot of work and
