Want to be a LEGO Model Builder and get paid?

Merlin Entertainment announced that the search is on for the next set of LEGO model builders. Merlin owns LEGOLAND Parks, as well as hotels and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, and are constantly updating and adding new LEGO sculptures all the time.

The new facility will be in Lake Wales, Florida, which is just a few minutes down the road from LEGOLAND Florida.

On August 25, 2015, candidates were assessed to be a LEGO designer and once the winners have been hired, they will then be on the hunt for the actual LEGO builders.

“We welcome and encourage candidates with diverse backgrounds to apply,” explained US LEGO Production Manager Rob Griffin.  “I believe that the best candidate is one who has a passion to inspire creativity in others, after all, at LEGOLAND Resorts and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers, the kid is the customer.”

Once hiring is complete, the seven LEGO Model Designers, as well as 40 new LEGO Model Builders, will work together at a hub for Merlin Magic Making in Lake Wales.  The 40 LEGO Model Builder positions will be posted later this week on LEGOLAND.com/jobs and MerlinCareers.com.

This is scheduled to be fully operational by fall 2015 and will be the sixth team of its kind in the world.  It will support the ever-expanding LELAND Resorts and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers around the globe.
