See New York City’s History via Virtual Reality – On a Bus?

Long time readers of Theme Park University know there is one attraction that is a must see in New York City. No matter how many times you’ve seen the Big Apple, there is no comparison to seeing it on The Ride. Multi-million dollar busses with floor to ceiling glass panes give impeccable views of the city’s skyline. Throw in skillfully trained live comedic actors as well as street performances and I promise you’ll talk about this one-of-a-kind tour for weeks.

The Ride Bus

Over the years, The Ride has diversified it’s signature attraction by giving seasonal offerings at Christmas and Halloween. Now The Ride is going even more high tech with the addition of virtual reality! In their more condensed version of the attraction known as The Downtown Experience, The Ride has teamed up with a virtual reality company known as TimeLooper.

Guests aboard The Downtown Experience will be able to look through these virtual reality viewing portals to reveal the history of New York City. The Ride will have six different moments specifically designed for The Ride that allow riders to virtually time travel to moments such as when George Washington was inaugurated.

The world premiere of this new addition to the Downtown Experience is May 8, 2017. If you’d like tickets to experience my personal favorite attraction in New York City click this link!
