Today marked the opening of Hershey’s Chocolate World at the New York New York Hotel on the famous Las Vegas Strip.
In true Las Vegas fashion, the opening celebration included showgirls who were joined by former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodwin.
Goodwin was joined by leaders from the Hershey Company, along with characters like Hershey, Reese and Kiss.
After the ribbon was cut there was a balloon release featuring the colors of Hershey Kisses: blue, white and silver.
For the rest of the morning, Hershey ambassadors handed out one million Hershey Kisses on the Las Vegas to celebrate the opening of Hershey Chocolate World in Las Vegas.
On display inside the store is a custom-made 800-pound of the Statue of Liberty that stands 11-feet-tall carved from one solid block of Hershey’s milk chocolate.
In addition, there is an Empire State Building replica made out of 1,800 Hershey chocolate bars.
Unlike the attraction in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Hershey Chocolate World in Las Vegas is primarily a retail experience where guests can buy just about any kind of Hershey merchandise.
Naturally, there are plenty of opportunities to buy sweets as well. This wall lets you mix and match various types of Hershey Kisses and purchase them by the pound.
Chocolate not your jam? They also have a Jolly Rancher station where you can fill a bag with your favorite flavors.
In addition, they have Jolly Rancher scented candles that are available for purchase!
One of the more unique opportunities at Hershey’s Chocolate World Las Vegas is the opportunity to create your own chocolate bar wrapper.
Guests are able to choose from various patterns, logos and can even personalize their chocolate bar.
Once completed, the wrapper goes over a giant sized Hershey bar and presented as a unique keepsake with some designs that are exclusive to Las Vegas.
Nearby is a station where you can create your own digital version of a Hershey Kiss and send the “digital Kiss” to friends and family back home.
Perhaps the highlight of Hershey’s Chocolate World in Las Vegas is the bakery featuring items baked with Hershey’s chocolate and candies.
Next time you find yourself in Vegas and need to fix that sweet tooth craving, head to the New York New York Hotel and Casino to check out the new Hershey’s Chocolate World.
