World’s First Official “Saw” Movie Escape Room to Open in Las Vegas

No matter how many times I bring up escape rooms, I keep hearing the same thing. “You know what would be really cool? If they have a “Saw” Escape Room based on the movie and you have to escape Jigsaw’s traps!” Well, friends, it looks like your prayers have been answered. Opening in late January

Cody Clark Returns to Orlando With His One-Man Magic Show

Longtime readers of Theme Park University know I’m a huge fan of magic. We have covered dozens of stories on Derren Brown, David Copperfield, the Magic Castle and many many more. What I love about what is happening to the genre, is magic shows have become more than just a series of tricks. A perfect

On a recent visit to Gatlinburg, Tennessee I got a chance to visit the city’s newest attraction known as Anakeesta.  The 70-acre park is located on top of Anakeesta Mountain and can be accessed through the park’s Chondola system. This brand new lift was built with 8 six-person gondola cabins and 104 four-seater chairlift seats

“In & Of Itself” Extends New York City Run Through May 2018

When was the last time you walked out of a show questioning your very identity? While it’s hard to explain, “In & Of Itself” pushes audience members to do just that. You’d be hard-pressed to even identify what the show is. It’s a magic show, but it’s far from any magic show you’ve ever seen.

Wacky World Studios Creates Ultimate Disney Fan Home

Remember when we showed you that jaw-dropping recreation of a Haunted Mansion stretching room last week that was installed in a private residence? That, my friends, is just the tip of the iceberg. I had the chance to chat with the creator of that stretching room recreation, Bruce Barry of Wacky World Studios, and I

Tampa’s premier haunt event is back for another year of “elegant fear” in the old Exchange National Bank which opened in 1903. There are several notable changes to the event this year and while some may not be for the best, this is still Central Florida’s most unique haunt experience and I genuinely look forward

Unbeknownst to passersby, a century-old meeting place for magicians has been lurking in the shadows of New York City. The Conjuror’s Club is a new immersive theater event coming to NYC, which centers around intimate close up magic and illusion. I couldn’t be more excited. Currently, The Conjuror’s Club is seeking funding via Kickstarter, so this

“Curiosities” Immersive 1930’s Sideshow Opens in Brooklyn October 2017

While immersive theater continues to branch out, this one sounds particularly intriguing. Curiosities is a new immersive show in Brooklyn set in the 1930s sideshow. The creators of the experience refer to it as “a surreal, seductive and thrilling experience… full of bootleggers, deviants, performers, and misfits.” Curiosities is being designed by some veterans in the world

Could You Survive The “Teen Slasher Movie” Immersive Experience?

If you’ve watched enough teen horror flicks, you know the drill before the movie begins. A group of careless almost adults ends up in a remote location far from cell phone reception, any other humans, and common sense. The characters in these movies are as cliche as they are timeless: the jock, the nerd, the slut,
